What is the N1 Fire Notice
The N1 notice is required by law to be placed in each room for visitors information. It explains the evacuation procedure for the building. For convenience we include an N1 notice in each plan in addition to the graphic floor plan produced by us. There are two types of N1 notice that we use, Type 1 (textual) and Type 2 (iconic) Either type is included free of charge in both the Basic and Professional Packages For examples of both types please refer to the SAMPLE PLANS page.

My Hotel plans are not up to date / I have no Hotel Plans
Don’t worry if they are a little out of date. During the process of producing your plans we send you draft copies for your approval before we print the final version. You can mark any changes on the draft copies and we include the changes before the final print. If however the changes are major or if you do not have a building plan, you will need to submit an up to date drawing. You can either prepare this yourself or use a local surveyor to prepare the plan. If this is not possible we can arrange a site visit and survey of your building. Do be aware that this will result in significantly increased costs.

Can we edit the plans.
We keep the original plans and will always have them. The plans are Cad files and cannot be edited by yourselves. We can however supply a PDF version for your records which have limited editing facilities. Should your building be modified/extended at a future date you can contact us and we will quote for the work required. The cost will be less than having the plans completely redrawn.

How long does it take to produce the Evacuation plans
We try in all cases to meet your target dates. Usually this is about 3 weeks from the receipt of your order. It does however depend on the building complexity and your response time in checking the draft copies. If your requirements are urgent we pull out all the stops to achieve your deadlines.

How much will the plans cost
As a general rule the cost for the Basic standard is £7.50 per plan and £9.50 per plan for the Professional standard. We cannot give you a firm quotation until we have seen a copy of your existing Building plan. Discounts are available for buildings that have identical layouts on several floors and for large buildings and group orders for multiple buildings.

What size are the plans
We recommend you use A4. Smaller than A4 will be difficult to read in emergency lighting situations. You may request custom sizes up to A3 to fit your existing frames. In most cases the plans can be presented in Portrait or Landscape orientation
